Error message: Cannot read Smartcard
Cause of Error: Your DSTV Smartcard is not properly inserted or the Smart card is damaged.

E06 DStv Error code
Error message: Smart card is faulty, cannot read smartcard.
Cause of Error: Your DSTV Smartcard is not properly inserted or the Smart card could be damaged.

E14 DStv Error code
Error message: Service is currently scrambled
Cause of Error: No or bad signal or your subscription has expired
Solution: Give it some time usually 3-5 minutes if your subscription has not expired. You can also check menu option on the decoder and check the signal quality and strength if it’s good.
DStv E16 Error code
Error message: Service is currently scrambled
Cause of Error: No or bad signal or your subscription has expired
