Display
A good display size is one of the main properties of a great smartphone. The reason why it’s important is that people think that the bigger the size of the display, the better the viewing experience. iTel decided to do more by designing a big display size for the iTel P12.
Low-end smartphones have display sizes within 4 inches to 5 inches. The iTel P12 has a 6 inches display size which is extraordinary for any low-end smartphone. It is a good feature for a low-end device.
The display of the iTel P12 falls under the IPS family. The phone comes with a sweet resolution of 480 × 854 pixels. Display is something that iTel took seriously, so they made sure that the phone had 244 pixels per inch (PPI) for the iTel P12.
RAM
Unlike the display in which the iTel P12 performed excellently, the same cannot be said for the RAM of the iTel P12. The RAM of the iTel P12 is 512 MB which is relatively too small.
The phone is at least expected to have a RAM of 1 GB. But this doesn’t necessarily mean that the phone is bad, it means that the phone will have no issues if it runs on Go apps or light apps. Please note that additional RAM cannot be added to the iTel P12.
Design
The design of the iTel P12 is not bad at all. Although I previously stated that the design isn’t bad, it still isn’t astonishing either. It is just someplace in the middle. One thing that makes the phone unique is the largeness of the phone, and this is expected since the display is also large.
The iTel P12 comes in 3 colours which are black, red, and white. The body of the phone contains a normal USB port, an earphone jack, the volume buttons, and the power buttons.
Chipset
The MediaTek Company work with iTel when it comes to developing chipsets for their devices. The iTel P12 comes with the MediaTek MT6572 chipset; quad-core; 1.30 GHz. Without the chipset, the phone will not even come on.
The MediaTek MT6572 is made up of 4 cores that are usually called quad-core by gadget gurus. The MediaTek MT6572 chipset runs with a speed of 1.30 GHz, and will not go higher than that.
Storage
The storage of the iTel P12 has a capacity of 8 GB which is also a flash storage. Because of some pre-installed applications on the device, about 3 GB of RAM storage would be occupied by those apps.
If you want to expand your storage, you can do so with the use of a micro SD card which should be 32 GB or less. The phone was not designed to support anything higher than that.
Camera
The cameras that were designed with the iTel P12 are poor, and were supposed to be made better. But this is not a major setback because the phone was not designed for pictures. The front camera of the iTel P12 comes with a 2 MP, while the rear camera comes with a 5 MP camera spec.
Sensors
